Every school has a Governing Body constituted in accordance with its Instrument of Government.  Being a Church School, our Governing Body includes representatives of the church at Parish and Diocesan level, Local Authorities, Parents and Teachers.

The Governing Body under the Education Reform Act 1988 is responsible for the staffing, finance, curriculum, Admissions Policy, special needs and future planning of the school.  The Governors work very closely with the Headteacher in making decisions about the life of the school.

The full Governing Body meets twice termly, whilst various sub-committees meet more frequently.  Governors visit the school each month and also attend training courses and seminars on specific topics.

Parents may at any time make their views known through the Parent Governor.

The Governors produce an Annual Report to parents in October at which time parents are invited to attend a meeting to discuss this report, if there are insufficient replies (less than 15 parents) accepting this invitation, then under regulations laid down in September 2003, the meeting does not have to take place.
